Secrets prt 6

               Things were pretty intense. My dad was working on the project in the corner of the table, and kept glancing at Shaun. Shaun kept glaring at Cathy, I kept glancing at Cathy's evil cat-like eyes (probably planning Shaun's death), and mom took nervous glances at all of us.
Mom broke the silence, "Well, got to go." She flung her purse on her back. "Rachel, you take care of Kyle, your father will be working on the project."
I nodded, but I didn't really want to take care of Kyle, he was a big job. A really big one! After a few minutes, the next thing you know, he would have brought Dora and Boots out of the television.
Dad cleaned up the dishes after breakfast and I went to my room, not checking if they were following.
In my room I examined my dresser, there was a small chuck of wood that came out where Shaun had fell.
Kyle was the first one in the room, and like usual he came in screaming. I didn't really listen to him, I just saw Cathy's frightened face when she walked in the room. Shaun wasn't there with her. "Dad's mad! Dad's mad! Dad's mad!" Kyle kept repeating.
Oh, God! I thought.
I rushed past Kyle with Cathy on my heels, running down the stairs, and into the kitchen.
I couldn't resist laughing, I laughed out loud. Shaun was smiling and his feet were on the table, and my dad was as red as fire itself. They both turned to look at me. Dad motioned me into the hallway. "Tell him to leave." Dad said when we were out of the kitchen.
Why does everyone have to leave today? I thought crossing my arms. "He's just fooling around." I said.
"Well I don't think it's funny."
There was a pause as if the whole world froze. Then what happened next was like slow-motion.
Shaun jumped through the door, Cathy and Kyle screamed, and Shaun got my dad in a head lock.
I was too shocked to say anything. He's really crazy! He's literally crazy!
Kyle's mind was too small to take such drama, and he passed out.
The next thing I knew I saw the ambulance taking Kyle away, and everyone getting in the caravan and following it.
